Our Firm

Peel Brimley LLP

A Dedication to Excellence

Peel Brimley’s drive for excellence has led to client success, both in and out of the courtroom. The firm’s successful trial practice record includes a wide range of construction-related matters brought in geographically diverse state, federal, and appellate courts, as well as various arbitration tribunals and dispute resolution boards. In addition to litigating cases, the firm’s philosophy is that although claims cannot always be avoided, the majority of disputes can and should be resolved during construction – not years after the project is complete. Our goal is to help clients achieve the best results possible given the circumstances of their particular case.

The firm has taken a lead role in lawsuits involving some of the largest construction projects in Nevada, including The Resort at Summerlin, The Venetian Hotel and Casino, The Aladdin Hotel and Casino, the City Center Project, and the Fontainebleau Las Vegas Project. Our unique background in construction law offers our construction industry clients a significant advantage in the courtroom, as well as at the negotiating table. We are dedicated to resolving disputes on public and private projects in the most efficient manner possible.

An Extensive and Expanding Client Base

Peel Brimley has represented McCarran Airport on more than a dozen large projects, including the approximately $2.4 billion Terminal Three expansion project. We have counseled McCarran Airport throughout the construction process to assist it in avoiding disputes and litigation.  Through Peel Brimley’s joint effort with the McCarran Airport, Terminal Three opened well within the dedicated contingency set up prior to construction.

Peel Brimley was selected through a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) process as construction counsel for the Port of Seattle and provided assistance in the construction of a consolidated car rental facility at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, with a project cost of approximately $225 million.  The firm counseled the Port throughout construction and helped develop strategies and procedures to resolve claims as they arose, or otherwise prepare for subsequent litigation.

Peel Brimley was also selected through a national RFQ process as counsel for the construction of the Salt Lake City International Airport on its ten-year, $1.8 billion terminal redevelopment project. Peel Brimley attorneys counseled Salt Lake City with respect to the development of the project, assisted in preparing the architectural contract, the program manager contract and the CMAR contract for the project. Peel Brimley further expects to assist Salt Lake City with dispute resolution and other processes throughout the ten-year project.
